THE PORTFOLIO COMPANY
The portfolio company operates within the HVAC services sector, specifically focusing on the monitoring and servicing of commercial boiler systems in apartment buildings. The business has experienced rapid growth, expanding from $15M to $50M in revenue over the past two years, with projections surpassing $60M by the end of 2025. The company is organized into three divisions, with the Service Division—generating $7M in revenue—being the second largest. The company leverages cutting-edge technology, including an in-house app capable of predictive maintenance and remote monitoring, offering exceptional levels of service. The firm operates in a dynamic, owner-led structure without unionization and maintains a long-term growth strategy without a defined exit timeline.
THE PRIVATE EQUITY FIRM
This role does not currently sit under a Private Equity-backed structure. The business is owner-operated, allowing for faster decision-making, a flatter hierarchy, and greater day-to-day operational control than traditional PE-backed environments. This structure provides a dynamic workplace with a focus on growth and service excellence.
THE CULTURE
The company culture is hands-on, fast-paced, and operationally focused. The Service Division Director will work closely with the company owner and the broader leadership team to drive day-to-day performance. Success in this role requires someone who is “in the weeds,” highly organized, and thrives in a high-accountability environment. Cross-functional collaboration with installations, controls, finance, and HR teams is key to ensuring streamlined workflows and overall business alignment.
